Wow! You’d think it was the holidays or something. I picked up the mail today and found the following list of catalogs:
- Harry & David (fruit baskets)
- Filson (outdoor/travel clothing and accessories)
- Casual Male (men’s clothing)
- JC Penny
- National Geographic (catalog, not magazine)
- L. L. Bean
- Brookstone
- Dover Saddlery (horse stuff)
- Popcorn Factory
And, a post card from El Toro Tack (more horse stuff). There were also two letters, one from Children’s Hospital and the other from Salvation Army.
So, a giant pile of mail and nothing that of any real importance. My questions is…if things are really so bad, how can all of these companies afford to send catalogs? Beyond that, I’m sure I’ve recently received catalogs from some of these companies. I’m going to keep track for the month of December and see what I receive in the way of catalogs.
Update 2008-12-09: I’m up to 22 catalogs so far…I’ve received more than one from three different companies.
