I was scanning TreeHugger.com today and came across an Australian company named DayRay. They have an interesting twist on a sky light. They allow you to mount a collector on the roof (or wall) and connect it to luminaries via fiber optic cable.
As you can see in the picture, this allows you to get day light to interior rooms.
Their web site is kind of sparse when it comes to information about the product itself. They have this picture and another showing two panels. They don’t identify the panels, so I don’t know if they’re collectors or luminaries.
DayRay did respond to an email indicating that they’re going into beta in September 2007 and will be posting specifics about the product at that time.
